Book - Down syndrome in Canada

My name is Melissa. I am a writer from Kitchener, Ontario working on a potential book on Down Syndrome in Canada. No, I am not a Mom of a child with DS, but have friends who do. Since every book I've seen is American....I thought one that was striclty Canadian was needed! This would be a great reference for parenets such as yourselves to read various stories of families across Canada, as well it will be great for teachers, support people, friends, have in libraries....possibilities are endless, I just need to compile the book! I need to do a few sample chapters for the publisher. I am looking for stories (...good & Bad) from all over Canada in the areas of:

*Birth Stories/New Parents
*Early Years
*Health (various health concerns/conditions)
*Education
*Socialization
*Adult Life
*any significant accomplishments (by individuals with DS)
*as well, stories from individuals with Down Syndrome themselves!

Depending on the volume of replies, I may have to use "First come, first serve". PLEASE CONTACT ME DIRECTLY: m.martz76@gmail.com

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to reading your stories!

Kind Regards,

Melissa Martz
