The topic for our general meeting is : Trustee and Guardianship Act

Malkit Atwal is an Associate at the firm of Duncan & Craig LLP and has been with the firm since 2006, when he articled there. His practice consists mostly of litigation, including estate litigation. Malkit obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria and in 2006, completed his law degree at the University of Alberta. Before law school, Malkit worked for a national bank as a financial advisor and worked with many clients on estate and financial planning related matters.

Michael Klaray is an Associate in the Wills, Estates and Trusts Practice Group at Duncan & Craig LLP. His responsibilities include drafting wills, estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation. Michael has acted for executors, beneficiaries, and dependants. Michael is a graduate of the University of Alberta law school.

Malkit and Michael will give us highlights on the new Trustee and Guardianship Act that became effective in Nov. 2009.
