Super HEROS Program is coming to Edmonton
Hockey Education Reaching Out Society (HEROS) is a volunteer-driven charity that uses the game of ice hockey to teach life-skills and empower marginalized youth. HEROS was founded on the downtown Eastside in Vancouver and provides free programs to youth of all backgrounds from grade four to post-secondary. We provide opportunities for personal growth through sport training, educational development and scholarships, guiding participants to become constructive citizens and future community leaders. Since 2000, we have helped almost 10,000 children and youth across Canada. In support of our mission of making positive impacts in the lives of youth all over Canada, HEROS offers three programming streams: Future Stars, All Stars and Super HEROS. Our Future Stars and All Stars programming streams cater to youth who face socio-economic and personal challenges and our Super HEROS programming is designed for youth with cognitive and physical challenges. All three programs together create our HEROS family.
