The Edmonton Down Syndrome Clinic

Since 2008, The Edmonton Down Syndrome (Ds) clinic has supported families who have children ages 0-20 years old with a diagnosis of Down syndrome.

Operating out of the Stollery Children’s Hospital, the purpose of the Edmonton Down Syndrome Clinic is to provide education and information to patients, families and healthcare professionals about the resources available to people with Down syndrome.

We ensure that the recommended medical guidelines for Down syndrome are being followed. Currently, over 500 children and families are seen as inpatients and outpatients at the clinic.

The clinic led is Dr. Melanie Lewis, colleague Dr Edwin Bolster and Nurse Coordinator, Melissa Lambert.
